Shadows: Merry Go Round

Merry Go Round 5

Found this outside a seedy discount store. The bleak, shadowy, concrete walkway and the forlorn little carousel were somehow eerie, like a portal into the Twilight Zone. The shot would have been better without the cage in the background, but what're ya gonna do.

Pan's Shadow

Pan's Shadow

This is actually more of a silhouette, but it reminds me of the shadow of Peter Pan, which occassionally got loose and went for adventures on its own. It was taken in the last daylight hour of the last day of summer vacation.

More shadows await. They gather every Sunday at Harriet's Place. Click the logo to go and see:

Valentines Day: Ur Doin It Rong

This invitation came in a paper bag of fast-food chicken last week. Note the grease stains.

You guys out there, I know times are tough. But trust me. Don't go there.

Much better Valentine ideas can be seen at Mary's Ruby Tuesday

Regrets

Just a note to all the hosts and to my fellow followers of photo-memes: It isn't that I don't love ya. In fact, you blogging buddies and photography are about all that's held me together of late. But family demands are such that I won't be able to participate so much anymore, and I won't be getting around as often as I'd like to comment on all your wonderful work. Nothing to worry about. I just didn't want anyone to think I'd lost interest.

Shadow Shots: A Window Seat

Window Seat

It's still winter, but the sun is gradually melting the snow here in Indiana. Late in the afternoon, this little window is awash in light and shadows. It's a great place to watch the fields change as the sun goes down, and to dream of spring.

Shadow Shot Sunday: Branches

Shadows

This is my first entry in Shadow Shot Sunday. I've noticed some really cool photos from participants around the blogosphere. I'm always looking for inspiration and a chance to learn new things about photography, and this group has some wonderfully creative people contributing to it. So here goes.
