If ever you find yourself anywhere near the little town of Wabash Indiana, do yourself a favor and park the car. Get out. Roam around. Bring extra batteries for your camera and talk to the people you meet.

The downtown area and surrounding neighborhoods are studded with
architectural marvels from the turn of the century. This mysterious staircase leads into the shadowy recesses of the Bradley Building, built in 1880. According to one of the fellows visiting together outside the junk store there, the Wabash and Erie Canal once ran directly behind the building.
The staircase leads to a ballroom on the top floor. Can't you just imagine the ladies and their gents, decked out in their finery, arriving for a night of music and dancing?
