Talk about serenity and I love the unmade bed...it shows lived in, not important to be perfect, just the way it is, life and simplicity.
Thanks, everyone. When we first moved in, the words that came to mind about this room were "ridiculous" and "cavernous". Now that I'm used to it, I do enjoy the space.
The more we use it uncluttered by paintings and furniture, the more I'm inclined to leave it bare. It is very restful that way.
The actual wall color is more of a yellow-toned cream. I considered black and white for this, but found I liked sepia tones better.
What a beautiful bedroom you have. I love that it's so big and open and free from clutter. A perfect bedroom space! Wish mine looked like that! Lovely morning shadows too :)

Brandi - I love having houseguests! In fact, this is the first house I've ever had where I can have an actual guest bedroom. It's small, but it has a window seat in a dormer, and it's actually my favorite bedroom. C'mon down!
That is truly a peaceful room. I'd have a hard time getting up out of bed.

I like it! Symmetrical and nice us of the "empty space" in the frame. Plus, I could use a nap right now and that bed looks inviting:)
