Shadow Shots: Moon Bridge

My shadow person seems to be admiring a real-world flower that is springing from her realm into ours, which I found delightful. Why shouldn't shadows enjoy us as much as we enjoy them?

This was taken on an arched bridge over a beautiful little pond garden at our library. The wind caught my open coat and gave me a big, bell-shaped shadow which I liked in contrast to the slender railings.

*Note: I don't know what the plant is, but all the ones they use are natives. *Update April 18, as EG Wow commented, it's a bergenia. Not native, as I thought, but pretty nonetheless. Thanks, EG!

*'Nother Note, to Self: Next time, lean forward and reach for the flower. That woulda been so much better.

The shadow photo hunter knows a fine capture when she sees it. By looking, we all imagine the pond full of water after Spring rains. Here there is no moisture, but the pond is alive with beautiful plant life. The shadowy photo artist took a nice shot!

Cross the shadow bridge,
turn left, walk forty paces—
ah, you have come home!

Thanks, everyone, for commenting! The pond there is a contained water feature, so the water doesn't really go anywhere. It is recirculated by hidden pumps. It's quite pretty once it's filled and even attracts a duck or two sometimes.

Wow ~ I am impressed. I have started fooling around with shadow pictures ~ it is not as easy as it looks. This is so cool on so many levels. You have set the bar high, my photography friend !
