Macro Monday: Flower Power
How "sixties" is this guy?
This little moth was only half an inch long, and it appeared to the naked eye to have mottled stripes. Imagine my surprise when the macro shot revealed a secret garden of tiny black and white flowers.
I don't generally hold with collecting wild life to get a photo, preferring to take my best shot with the wildflower still dancing in the wind, the bug attempting a getaway. But I would have made an exception in this case if the window hadn't been on the second floor. I wish I could have netted this pretty fellow and held it for a while to see what these wings looked like open.

Now that is a little moth. thank goodness for macro...so many small wonders that we walk by n dont even notice.
WOW .. I just got a macro and have been playing with it indoors ... it needs a lot of light and a steady hand (or no breathing .. or a tripod) .. so I am in awe on many levels here ..
