Shadow Shots: All That Remains

Ghosts

These shadow patterns and paving textures caught my eye. The original photo included the plants and walkway, but I found the more I cropped it the better I liked it. Sometimes less is more.

P.S. I re-cropped this goose one from last week (taken at the same park) and I like it better now, too.

This is why I do these memes - to experiment and learn. Thanks again, Tracy, for hosting Shadow Shot Sunday!

I love both your shadow shots for the day and the duck stole my heart! How fun! And such crisp, clear shots! I love the simplicity in the first shot -- sometimes less is more and I would say that's true here. Wonderful! Enjoy your weekend!

We agree with Sylvia - that duck is on a mission - what fun!
We agree - less is more here - sometimes more gets in the way of the object :) Great shots!

I love both of them!

The shrub in shadow gets our minds working hard. We can imagine buds and leaves beginning their seasonal moves, the foliage to follow. Spring awaits...and the goose has a spring in its step. Sun, shadow and spring - we are ready!!

Love the starkness and clarity, particularly liked the first shot...less is definately more in this case, well called :)

I love the peace and mystery of the first shot while you left the subject cropped out of the shot, but that second capture really made me smile. Great captures!
