Shadow Shots: A Fine Glass of Vine

6

In the shadowy back room of Domaine Berrien Winery in Michigan, this unique work is propped against a window overlooking the vineyard.

Those are pieces of broken glassware glued on, some projecting an inch or two from the pane. I didn't dare touch to see if they were sharp.

I loved it. Do you?

I do like it - but after a brief study. True, it is a bit busy, but what stands out quite clearly are the grapes. Guessing that a winery would show off the basis for its being, and of course a dropped or deliberately destroyed glassware gives its unique style. I think!

I like It!! It's quite an intersting work of art.
I wonder if the pieces were broken by accident or on purpose. Either way, it is quite creative to think of putting them together in this way.
I don't think I would have tried to touch it either. But, it does make a great picture!! Thanks for sharing!

Like you, I would admire this piece of art from a safe distance!

MY SHADOWY FRIEND

My shadow and I are very best friends;
We walk hand in hand, though the sidewalk ends.

No matter the time of day or of night,
My shadow and I will always stick tight.

We don’t even think of drifting apart,
For shadow and I are one soul and one heart.

To have such a friend is heaven, you see,
For I love my shadow, and shadow loves me.

I DO like it. It's very unusual, but artistic and looks really nice propped in the window with the light shining through like that. It causes mixed feelings in me, and I guess that's what works of art are all about! happy day to you!
