Shadow Shots: Sandcastle

Sand Castle 2

The Aquarium and Botanic Garden in Albuquerque is a fascinating, kid-oriente place filled with wonderful, shadowy spaces - including a castle. One turret has a deep sand floor. I couldn't resist snapping a shot of this little guy enjoying the cool shade.

Sand and Shadow

There are more shadows at HeyHarriet's. Stop by and see.

It looks like an enchanting place!

IF I WERE A SHADOW

If I were a shadow,
I would seek the light;
There I would glow sleekly,
Black and shiny bright!

The boy may be an architect in the future. Designing a castle grain by grain of sand means that an artist may be in the making!

These are lovely! It's funny to see sand enclosed and in shadows!

Good news about SSS is that a little team has formed and will continue running it. Awesome! I'll be posting the details on my blog next Sunday. Thanks so much for joining in SSS for all this time! Gosh you've been a regular shadow shooter for ages and I really appreciate it & it's been great getting to know you!

What a magical spot for a child to get to play in the sane...sheltered from the wicked rays of the sun. This shot definitely brings out that inner child in me. genie
