These are the weedy remains of a flower bed, photographed at dawn. Only the uppermost leaves were illuminated, floating over a still pool of night shadows. The thick frost began to melt as soon as the sun touched it.

The frost fringes the leaves with jewel-like beauty! Beautiful photos!
These look like frosted treats - the look of autumn that suggests cool mornings and warmer days. The beauty of this season but a harbinger of winter yet to arrive. I like Fall and wish this was the coldest it would get all year - in IN ant CT anyway...

Have a blessed Sunday.
Great captures.
Thanks for the graphic reminder that there are cold places in our world. The Sonoran Desert, where I live, is not one of them!
Nature Paints Shadows
So much beauty! Even though the frost represents cold and sometimes damage to our plants, it is a work of art.
