Shadow Shot Sunday2: Rays

2013_02_17_7973ab

A recent morning, in the space between falling snow and a brilliant winter sun, taken from the far side of the pond.

Winter has been relatively kind to us this year. Snowfall has been manageable, and temps have stayed above zero. I so enjoy the world blanketed in white, all still and clear.

This a tapestry of shadows falling upon the snowy canvas is beautiful. As I age (and after that blizzard of historic proportion :) I am less and less a a fan of winter. Except for views just like this. This is a seasonal reward for those ! us in our four-season climate. Very nice!

That's a show-stealing shadow, for sure! Beautiful on the soft, white blanket of snow.

As Sylvia said your composition is perfect and, I'd like to add, so is your depth of field. Beautiful shot.

Your shot could've been taking here in Helsinki - we have still snow and today we have sunshine!
Happy Sunday!
