Walking on Water

Walking on Water

Taken in Ludington State Park, Michigan. There are quite a few beautiful wooden walkways through the wet areas, and even some footbridges out to the islands. I liked the way this one led down and away to the left.

One Brilliant Barn

Rays 2

Star Light

These were taken at the Round Barn Winery in Boroda Michigan. The tasting building is a 1911 barn that was saved from destruction in the nick of time and reassembled on site by Amish craftsmen. It is glorious. (And the wine isn't bad, either.)

For my fellow barn lovers, here's a link to the slide show of the barn being dismantled and reconstructed: Round Barn dot com.

Fridays Fences: So Blue

These beautifully blue fences surround the pier areas at Silver Beach, Michigan. I think they're perfect for the place.

Fridays Fences: Red Hollyhock

Red Hollyhock

I couldn't resist the contrast between the immaculate white fence and the old barn beyond, sinking into lavish decay.

An enigmatic sculpture on the Michigan shore. (Don't you wish they'd placed that trashcan somewhere else?)
