There's a wonderful old hay barn snuggled up against the edge of our property. Its skin is fairly new, but its bones are a century-old Amish beam structure that was disassembled, moved, and rebuilt on the site. What light there is inside has an odd quality to it in there, almost as if it were pressurized by the effort of squeezing through the cracks and parting the shadows.
I like the top one, but the details on the brightest tines blew out, which is discouraging. The bottom one is pretty noisy, and I should have cropped out the window and/or moved the stuff on the floor, but I like the lighting effect. I'll have to try that one again sometime.
By the way, I'm having problems with both Blogger's Save button and my computer, so please bear with my absences here and in your blogs, and in replying to your comments. I'll be around as soon as I can. Meanwhile...

This is such a great shadow shots, girl!
I love the rake. At first, I thought it's a fence or something. So nice.
Have a fun Sunday!
I like them both! Thanks for sharing.
I'm really {luv}-ing the first pic!! The shadow is great
What beautiful pictures..Just lovely..Barns are so beautiful..Happy SSS..
I love both shots!
The rake shadow was a great catch.
In the second one I expect the door to begin to open wider. I like that you left the window in and I didn't notice the 'stuff' until you mentioned it. I was so into the light you caught.
Beautiful shadow shots!
I think they are both great, but what do I know? I'm just learning this stuff:)
I really like how bright the sun is coming through in the second photo.
Do you have a script blocker that could cause problems in saving in blogger? Just a thought. I love this barn.. Michelle
wow! I love these shots. You sure do have high standards, & that is probably why you have such neat photographs.
Love both shots, barns are great places to find some unique shadows and you have done a great job!
These both work exceptionally well..
There's nothing wrong with either photo. Please don't do anything to the second one especially. We might not be able to smell the hay or the wood. It's just wonderful.
These are just terrific.
I really like both of these, but I think the second one is my fave. Perfect little lines of sunshine seeping through. Lovely!
Stunning light and shadow in these shots! Very nice indeed.
god, mymaracas, your photos are pure art! Beautifully designed! :)
These are stunning. Really gorgeous.
I might have cropped the window out of the second one too - it could lend more mystery to the shot.
What a great find, that barn.
Blogger seems to be wreaking havoc everywhere lately.
