Shine On

Flashback to Sunday School: "This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine..."

As it turns out, you wouldn't be able to stop your little light if you wanted to. Scientists in Japan recently used ultra-sensitive cameras to photograph human bodies giving off visible light. Not heat, mind you, but light within the visible spectrum.

We glow. Who knew?

Actually, now that I think about it, maybe a lot of people have picked up on it, if only subliminally. There's glowing good health, the pregnancy glow, radiant happiness and beaming with pride. There's the whole aura thing. And let's not forget the halo, which is especially interesting because the face and head glow the brightest.

Pretty cool, huh.

Those of us that live nearby Oak Ridge, TN and it's 60+ years of making nuclear weapons just happen to glow a little bit more;)
