Great shots and I really like them in monochrome! :-)
First one. You were fast on the draw to grab the melting drops in midair. I think the first one with the vertical composition and only the icicles is the stronger of the two.

These are awesome shots. And it does feel like this winter is going to last forever...
We don't get much snow, but it's cold enough for the water pipes to freeze every night.
Dunno if you're into Flickr groups, but these photos would be a good fit for one called The World Through a Photographer's Eye. They're having a contest to show moving snow or water in January.
You cant take a decent shot ... you can take two!
