Macro Monday: Holey-er Than Thou
Imagine the ages it took for a river to tunnel its way into the heart of this little stone. Someone took it away from its source, with other stones that had lain beside it for eons, to lie in the mud of an Indiana driveway. I wonder where it will be ten thousand years from now.

Water is amazing. Who would think that it is strong enough to cut into stone and iron. Thanks for sharing.
looks like the pieces of vulcanic rocks that I have. Looks great and almost heartshaped

Interesting and could pass for a heart shape too.
The forces in nature are incredible, nice shot of this stone! :)
I thought it's a piece of cake or bread, not a stone!

Have a nice week :)
Ten thousand years from now? There's a thought!! I bet it will be considerably smaller, but no less pretty!
Great find!
It's an adorable rock! I imagine it took quite a lot of time to get that way.
That's a great find. I love looking at the results of thousands of years of erosion. Maybe I should have been a geologist.
Love this heart shaped rock and the written reflection that went with it. Nature is amazing ! My husband is building a massive stone wall in front of our home so we have lots of rock conversations. Rock on!
what an awesome rock! I've found a few that are similar and am always fascinating by them - nice choice for macro!
