I find myself fascinated by the fact that brown eggs are white on the inside, and the effect of light shining through the cracks. Just this one for now, but I'm saving up shells for a photographic eggstravaganza.

We forget that as fragile as we think an eggshell is, it is much stronger than we think – on the outside. The chick that wants to exit the egg is able to break it from within, so the interior is mere protection from the outside. Cracked, the mocha colored shell is a work of art all by itself!

I had no idea of course we rarely in fact almost never buy brown eggs and I am not a big egg eater ... but I love that shot and am eggerly awaiting the eggstavaganza
