Macro Monday: Hummmers

2012_06_10_6003a

I blew most of my day today trying to find the right combination of settings that would give me tack-sharp, noise-free, magazine quality photos of birds. (It's an ongoing quest of mine.) I never found the magic recipe, but this one isn't too bad.

I know the National Geographic guys are using equipment that costs more than my house, but I still think my little Canon Rebel is capable of much better. I just can't seem to push the right buttons.

For more close-ups, join the fun over in Macro Monday at Lisa's Chaos.

It looks pretty sharp to me. These little guys don't hold still very long.

Beautiful shots all the same, and they are sharp-you can remove noise in noise removal programs, there are quite a few good ones out there.

Wow! What a gorgeous shot of that hummingbird. Every time I see one in my garden I don't have the camera in hand :-(

I love that you're trying to squeeze every last drop of juice out of your little camera and not just clammering after new & better gear. I think that is what makes a photographer great. Nice pics.

I think your photos came out extremely well. You're not alone, I have a Canon 40D and still don't know which buttons to push either.

I'm always trying to get that perfect shot too. Yours are great. I posted some hummer photos awhile ago.
