Shadow Shots: Bloodroot

Bloodroot

I was hoping to spend a little more time photographing these newly discovered bloodroots at the edge of the woods, but the deer have eaten every single one right down to the ground. (Bambi has a dark side.)

Deer are a bit discerning as they seem to prefer to eat just what we admire looking at. Yes, deer have these big eyes that seem so angelic - their behavior suggests otherwise. Get lost Bambi!

Deers do have a way of mowing down the best vegetation. But, glad you at least had this image to share with us-beautiful!

I do have a love/hate thing going with the deer. And don't get me started on the groundhogs.

I can see why you wanted more time with this flower. It is gorgeous and your shot is too. :)
