On our way out of a ball game a couple of weeks ago, my husband and I passed by a little storage building with a mysteriously dark window way down at sidewalk level. Being the curious kind, and too old to care what other people think, we just had to bend down to sneak a peek inside.
We encountered a huge, sinister, green face peering back at us from within the deep, black shadows.

Every episode of The Twilight Zone I ever saw came flooding into my head.
Recovering from the shock, we laughed nervously at the mask, or mascot, or whatever it was, snapped a few photos, and went on our way.
Lightened and processed a bit, our bogyman doesn't look so scary after all. He does seem to be appreciating the ladies as they pass by, though, doesn't he. Which actually is kinda creepy.

Definitely creepy! When shadows overwhelm the light element in a scene, it's amazing how the mind launches into fearful imaginings.
oh my gosh...that is funny!!! great shot. thanks for sharing!!!
With that self-satisfying smile (or glare :), I'd be a bit wary of his intentions, although he admires all the beauty that passes by. Happily, we are rather safer as he sits behind glass. Creepy, cute and winsome at the same time. A shadowy fella indeed...
Oh, how fun!! And, yes, thanks for sharing with us! A great smile and giggle to end my day!
Nice shots. Like them
I found this only creepy, and if I'd be there alone, I definitely would have headed for the hills!
Gemma, it's true. There's nothing like something hidden in shadow to set off the adrenalin.
Robin and Sylvia, I'm glad I gave you a smile!
Ralph, I'm glad he's safely contained too. He looks mischievous, at best.
Norma, we were moving a little faster than usual walking away from him.
Fun and creepy all rolled up in one! Who'da thought?
what a fabulous and spooky find

Yeah ... I probably should have saved him for Halloween.
