Project Black: Traces

BlackWaterRipples

This is my first, humble entry in Project Black, a photo meme from Anna at Anna Carson Photography, which I found via JC's blog, Castleruins. There are some stunning photos in the group. Check it out, why don'tcha?

P.S. July 13: This is a view of Indian Lake in New York, taken from the shore. The speck in the upper left is a rather large spider. I tried several times to photograph the web, but couldn't find a vantage point where I could get the camera to focus on it. (Suggestions welcome on shooting spider webs.)

Outstanding. I like it.

Welcome to Project Black. You don't have to feel humble. That's some awesome photo. And I suppose you were out standing on the bank when you took it, huh?

Welcome to Project Black. This is a fabulous entry, you're off to a perfect start.

I also want to say I LOVE that little green hopper with the pollen on him in one of your earlier posts!

What a BEAUTIFUL photo! Just exquisite... and wonderfully black silouhettes. I love the clouds and the ripples in the water going in multiple directions. Just beautiful.

Glad to have you join the fun. If this is any indication, I'm going to enjoy having you!

Awesome shot! Has quite an optical illusion quality... and what is that dot on the left in the sky? I thought it was a dust speck until I looked at the large version... that's no dust!

I really, really like this and it's framed perfectly.

Thanks so much for the warm welcome! All of your photos are so professional-looking that I was a bit hesitant to join in. Paul, yes, I was standing on the bank outside our cabin at Indian Lake, on vacation. And JC -- I think that speck is a spider. I wish the web had shown up, because he does look like a dust speck on the lens. I'll be around in a bit to check out all your entries!

The dark tones make it a great entry for Project Black. But besides that, it's a great shot!
