Ruby Tuesday: Let 'Em Eat Cake

Remember that wedding I went to a couple of weeks ago? Well, it seems wedding confections have come a long way since the white cake and buttercream days. Each layer was a layer cake, and one was chocolate. They had fruit filling between the layers, too. Yummy.

Check out the rest of the entries over at theteach's place, Work of the Poet. And by the way, for those of you curious about last week's duct-taped DeSoto, scroll down for a full view. Happy Tuesday!

Gorgeous cake. I hope it tasted as good as it looked.

I scrolled down and I really enjoyed your photos. Those mushrooms, really lovely. Especially the upshot. Not sure if that's the correct term, but it's looking up under the mushroom caps. Cool!

My oh my. I think I could live in America just for the sake of you wonderful, overwhelming, voluminous, rich and guaranteed tasteful cakes.
How elaborate and ingenious can one cake get??
It is late night and no confectioners in sight. I am severely tempted.
No time for carrot, bread or soup.
Ai, ai; all that chocolate and buttercream and ruby roses.
That is sweet. tempting dreams for me.
Good night from Felisol

Thanks, Michelle! Everybody, please use that link to see an amazing photo technique to try. I had never seen it before, and the images are remarkable.

Glad you all liked the cake. The roses are real, by the way.

Melli, you made me laugh out loud. And felisol, sorry about the snack attack. I trust you found some nice celery sticks to tide you over. ;-)
