Sepia Scenes: Fallen Stars
I thought this dry leaf on my garage floor looked like the ruins of a little star, fallen and shattered. They are both taken with the Sepia setting on a Canon G9. In the top one, I softened the shot by lowering the saturation and lightening it a little. In the second, I went for a NASA lander-camera look, with its harsh shadows, enhanced saturation, and high contrast. Which do you like better?

For this subject, I think I like the second version. Especially considering the whole "fallen star" astral destruction theme you were going for. The first version isn't without its melancholy charm though.
I'm with Mojo on that! But both are great Sepia Scenes! :)
Great interuptation. I like the 2nd one
I think I like the 2nd best and I agree, it looks like a fallen star
At first glance I thought I liked the top better, but with more looking I can't make a choice. I like the shot.
Nice sepia scenes, both of them.
Ok..I like the second one...but as usual, I am in the minority..both are great though..
Hi ~ I am a first time visitor here - and really enjoyed your photos. I got a new Canon for Christmas - and can't wait to start playing with it. I like the first photo the best since I like the softness of it. They are both creative. I enjoyed my visit and I will be back. Take care.
HOW did I miss this the last time around. Like the second one best. The orientation seems more natural and the depth much better. HNY again!
