WOW... you and I think so much alike. I imagine the emotions of inanimate objects as well. I even apologize to doorways when I run into them. How rude of me! LOL. Great minds think alike. :) Neat photo for the challenge, well done!
Im new at this, there is an old firetruck near here so I think Ill use your photo an see if my photo is as good as yours . It wont be but you have to start somewhere. You have a good day Bye Bye Ed
What a cool old fire truck! Funny that it adorns a company that sells boxes, as I own a company that makes and sells them. We don't have anything that neat on our lawn though. ;-)
This made me smile, not just the photo but the thought of it sighing as it watches traffic pass. Those are the kind of things I imagine too. The story gave the photo so much life.
This is a great shot! So sorry I'm so late in getting around to our Numbers challenge. My modem died on Saturday and then the weekend just got more and more bizarre! I'm happy to be able to visit today and see all the fun number shots. Enjoy your week!
What a great picture of the most interesting parts of this old fire truck - although I like your other shot of it too. Your description of its fate kinda makes me sad, especially since it looks like it could really use some TLC.
Well, it has no flowers planted around it -- see the full view above -- and strikes me as sad, too. Maybe somebody will come along and rescue it someday.
I'm glad to see I'm not alone in imagining personalities behind inanimate objects. Probably too much Disney when we were kids, huh?

Love the shot---and what a neat lawn ornament!

What a nice shot !
Your sigh comment really brought it to life. It made me think of it like a cartoon character of a once proud fire truck now relegated to menial tasks.
Love the old engine...I am wondering if I could plant flowers on and around it...you said it was in the yard....
lawn ornament? must be surrounded with beautiful flowers/plants- it should be happy.
This is a great shot!

Yes, nice detail on the Ruby Tuesday firetruck.
