Mmmm...great shot.
The staircase is lined with artist's rendering of 'customers' going up to the unknown lair upstairs. Do we wish to traverse the staircase to the unknown upstairs. Or does our intrigue compel us to move up that peeling paint up the steps instead??

Very cool shot. Love the gradation of light. Does make one wonder what could be in the room in the very back.
Had I gone up the stairs to the Clock and Barometer Repair shop in my photo last week I am thinking I might have seen a staircase/wall like this ...
