Shadow Shots: Something New

2013_03_30_8606edit

It's my first day as a retiree!  I celebrated by hunting shadows and frittered away the rest of the morning at Picmonkey.

I've been green with envy at the cool, awesome, and generally amazing images other photographers are producing with special effects and layers, and now's my chance to get in on the fun.

Below is the image straight out of the camera, which I kinda liked too. Above is the heavily messed-with version. Which do you like better?

(P.S. The secret to the the frosty-looking bottle is on Havenwood.

I like both of these views - it seems as if one is silver, the other gold. Both precious metals and photos too! Congrats on your retirement - it will allow you to pursue your passions full-time. A honor for decades of hard work!

Thanks, everyone, for the well-wishes on retirement and for the feedback. I like the edited one better too, though the second one is the accurate color.

Leave it to you, dear Ralph, to see "silver and gold" in them, and to value both.

And you're right, Paula - picmonkey is a blast. Thanks to you and Daryl for guiding me to it!

I love both versions of the bottle! Both have a different ambience controlled by the colour tones! Delightful!
