It's a detail of a rusty, cut metal lantern with a star pattern. But I think the foreground looks like a gingerbread cookie here. At any rate, I like the way the background star seems to be peeking around the edge.

Ok I see it now. At first I thought you had two pieces of a broken mirror on the ground catching the reflection of a shadow above. Very interesting shot!

Ritchie, it's an old lantern. I just cropped out all but a corner detail of it.
