This is an older shot from Fernwood Gardens in Michigan, sepia-fied with the good old AOL photo editor. (If they take that away, I'm cooked.)
This is really a double gate, like a little house; there is an inner and an outer gate/wall, with benches inside between the two. Once the hubby's woodshop is up and running, I'm putting in an order for one like it.
There's a lot more to see at Sepia Scenes, so click over and explore.

Ahhhh... I would have been captivated by THAT one as well!
ooooooww...that is so neat. Ok, you will see a sepia photo from me. I am going to go find out how to make one from the PS Elements..
I love photos of gates and this one is a beauty.
You were saying if they took aol photo editor away you would be cooked...have you heard of Picasa? It is a free little photo software...you can do quite a bit with it. Just google it...actually I think it is from Google.
This is lovely in sepia!
I can just imagine sitting inside reading a book.
Love the lighting too.
Lovely gate. Reminds me of Hokone Gardens in Los Gatos, CA.

Happy Thursday:-)
It looks like the perfect child's hideaway :-). (Are my mommyblogger roots showing?)
Another mystery gate making me curious to see the other side of the fence. I can see why you would be wanting to have one for yourself! A great choice for sepia scenes!
I just love the mystery of that gate! And I would love to see what's inside:) Very nice entry!
Mine is here. Happy SS!
Garden gates are so idyllic. A wonderful choice for sepia.
This one calls to me for some reason :0)
Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for visiting my sepia :0)
Can I order one too!!? ;)
it looks magical
wonderful image.
Hi guys. Sorry to be so late responding, but I did want to say Thanks for all your comments! I'm glad you liked the photo and found the gate as mysterious as I did.
Rose, thanks for the tip on Picasa! I have Elements, but I can't figure out how to use it. The AOL editor has a button that says Sepia on it. I open a photo, click the button, and I'm done. I'm gonna miss that. LOL
Very nice shot! :-)
A beautiful sepia-fied gate, Maraca! And don't worry is AOL takes away photo-editing there are plent of other editors out there - and of course I'd help you get used to a new one! :)
What a pretty gate. Makes you want to go inside and see what's there. I love the sepia shots - they add such a feeling of warmth and mystery.
